Understanding CPL Service Contracts: What to Expect
When you invest in a CPL MEWP, you’re not just purchasing a product; you’re gaining access to a dedicated support team focused on keeping your equipment running safely and efficiently. Our service contracts are designed to give you peace of mind. We ensure your machine stays compliant, well-maintained, and ready for work. Whether you operate a single unit or manage a large fleet, we will work with you to create a contract that fits your needs.
What’s Included in a CPL Service Contract?
Scheduled Servicing and Inspections
Our support team will arrange servicing and inspections every six months with our trained technicians. These checks are conducted in accordance with the Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations (LOLER). This process ensures that your machine remains safe and compliant, and operates at its best.
Wear-and-Tear Repairs and Replacements
As part of your agreement, we’ll handle general wear-and-tear issues. This includes necessary repairs and part replacements to ensure your equipment operates smoothly. However, please note that damage caused by misuse, accidents, or negligence, as well as work on the base vehicle or specific components like hydraulic hoses and accessories, is not included.
Warranty Breakdown Support
If something goes wrong covered under warranty, our team will respond quickly. We provide on-site repairs across most mainland UK (excluding the Highlands & Islands). Each unit includes up to two call-outs per year. If your platform needs repair at our workshop, we will support you. Just keep in mind that the customer is responsible for transport costs for workshop repairs.
Chargeable Repairs
If you encounter any issues not covered by the warranty, our team will inform you beforehand. We will not proceed without your approval, and all labour, travel, and parts will be invoiced.
What Do We Need From You?
To help us keep your machine running smoothly, please ensure you:
Present Equipment at an Appropriate Location
Ensure your machine is at a secure and accessible site within the mainland UK (excluding public roads, home addresses, and car parks). This allows our team to safely, conduct scheduled work.Complete Regular Checks
Operators should perform daily, weekly, and monthly checks as outlined in the user manual. Please keep these logs in the vehicle and make them available upon request.Provide Authorisation for Repairs
For any non-warranty repair, we’ll request a purchase order or written approval before we begin any work.Use Certified Operators
Ensure anyone operating your CPL machine has a valid IPAF license.
Flexible Contracts, Tailored to You
Every business is unique, so we ensure our contracts reflect that individuality. Whether you’re managing a single cherry picker or a fleet, we’ll tailor a plan around your machinery, usage, and working environment. Pricing varies based on equipment, number of units, and specific service conditions. Typically, we bill the first three months quarterly in advance, with a monthly fee agreed upon from the start.
