Trailer cherry picker safety features
Operator safety on trailer-mounted platforms is paramount. Despite their compact nature, trailer cherry pickers are equipped with a multitude of safety features, including outriggers, harness points, guardrails, and safety locks. When extended, the large outriggers ensure the lift remains stable and balanced, crucial when the device is elevated to significant heights or when extending the boom. The basket of the trailer-mounted lift provides operators with anchor points to secure their safety harnesses. This is crucial for fall prevention, particularly when working at considerable heights or in situations where there's a risk of being unbalanced.Dinolift's modern cherry pickers are outfitted with advanced sensors that monitor if the load on the platform surpasses the safe working limit. In instances of overload, alarms are triggered to alert the operator, and the system may halt operations until the load is adjusted to a safe level. The ergonomic control panel is another vital safety feature. It is designed to prevent inadvertent boom movements, thereby enhancing overall operational safety. This careful integration of controls ensures a higher level of precision and security during use.Working load capacity
The safe working load, often referred to as the normal working load or working load capacity, is defined as the maximum load that lifting equipment, devices, or accessories can safely handle for lifting, suspending, or lowering an object without any risk of failure or breakage. With a working load capacity from 130 kg to 215 kg, Dino’s trailer mounted cherry pickers allow 1 or 2 people to operate on the basket. For more convenience at work, you have the possibility to add a rack for tools and accessories directly from the basket so that your movements are not hindered or you risk dropping a tool from the top of the trailer.Various working height
Working height determines the range of tasks a cherry picker can perform. Dino’s trailer access platforms possess telescopic booms allowing operators to reach height areas from 10 meters to 18 meters. Which is great, specially in areas where there is a height restriction, for filling the needs of several applications like roofing repair, construction, cables installation, tree trimming.Working height, which is the area operator can touch, work on, is often confused with platform height, which is the area operator feet can reach. About Dino’s trailer lift, platform height is ranging from 8.50 meters to 16 meters. Trailers are engineered with sufficiently heavy chassis to ensure the stability of operators when reaching elevated areas. Each component of the aerial device is constructed to maintain robustness and balance.Lifting Mechanism
Picking the right lifting mechanism lies in ensuring safety, improving operational efficiency, ensuring compatibility with the load, adapting to specific environmental conditions, complying with regulatory standards, offering cost-effectiveness, and providing the necessary precision and control. The right choice minimizes risks, enhances productivity, and ensures the longevity and reliability of the equipment. All Dino trailers are equipped with a hydraulic lifting mechanism, which offers the advantage of minimizing friction between the arm's components. This not only extends the machine's lifespan but also reduces your maintenance and repair costs. Additionally, this impacts the stability and lifting capacity of these machines, consequently allowing operators to work with greater safety and efficiency.Power engine
Trailer cherry picker performances are, partly, due to a fine-tuned engine. About Dino’s trailer mounts, there’re 3 types of engine conditioning the performance of the machines : Petrol engine, diesel engine and electric battery. Articulated trailer need obviously more power so they can extend their arm with ease during an operation. That’s why they are all configured with a petrol engine or diesel engine. In theory, petrol and diesel fuel injection systems are more or less the same. They both use four-stroke combustion cycles to work - the intake stroke, the compression stroke, the combustion stroke, and the exhaust stroke. The main difference will be how the combustion occurs. Diesel engines excel in thermal efficiency compared to their gasoline counterparts, offering enhanced power and torque. This makes them ideally suited for handling heavy loads. The key lies in the nature of diesel fuel, which is thicker and possesses a higher energy density. This superior thermal efficiency of diesel engines translates into significant benefits in terms of fuel economy and reduced operating costs. BUT… Trailer mounted lift with diesel engines come with higher initial purchase expenses and repair costs. Vehicles with gasoline engines have significantly lower purchase costs, as well as more affordable maintenance and repair expenses. The petrol engine is also quieter than its opponent. Dino’s telescopic trailers run with an electric battery which means almost all the energy produced is consumed into mechanical work. Electric motors also have fewer moving parts than combustion engines, so they require less maintenance. And they are even quieter than the former petrol engines.
