WHY CHOOSE US
CPL partnerships with vehicle manufacturers
CPL has Manufacturer Approval with some of the most prestigious names in the UK and beyond. As approved body builders, CPL works very closely with the manufacturers to ensure we are always ahead of the game with new regulations and any changes to models.

Why Manufacturer Approvals Matter
CPL is an approved partner for Isuzu, Toyota, Renault, Iveco, and we are a Ford Pro Converter, among others. We are audited to ensure that we operate at the highest standards, producing conversions that vehicle manufacturers are proud to endorse.
We take pride in providing the most compliant and robust vehicle conversions, ensuring each build meets our customers’ requirements from design to fitting. The effectiveness of these partnerships is increasingly evident, with major dealerships like Enterprise now offering CPL Van, pick up and chassis-mounted conversions.
With our Manufacturer approval and Type Approval, we guarantee that your CPL unit meets the highest standards, passing inspections from both the manufacturers and UK legislators. You don’t need to worry about completing your own IVA.
Approved. Complaint. Hassle-free.

Manufacturer Approved FAQ'S
Manufacturer Approval (or OEM approval): It comes from the vehicle manufacturer, based on audits, engineering reviews, and compliance with their standards. E.g. Isuzu or Toyota for our ATAT and 4×4 Mewp.
Type Approval: This is a legal certification process that ensures a vehicle or vehicle conversion meets national and EU standards for safety, emissions, and roadworthiness. It’s granted by a government authority or certification body, like the DVSA in the UK.
You’ll get:
- Manufacturer warranty protection
- Full Type Approval for easy registration
- Insurance-friendly documentation
- Tested structural safety and performance
- Higher resale value
- Lower long-term risk
Yes. Vehicles with approved, documented conversions retain more value because they’re legally compliant, serviceable, and trusted by buyers and fleet managers.
Absolutely. Insurers may refuse claims or increase premiums for unapproved conversions due to increased risk. An approved conversion is more likely to be accepted without penalty by insurance providers.
Yes. Most vehicle manufacturers will void the base vehicle’s warranty if the conversion is not approved. Choosing an approved converter protects your warranty and peace of mind.
Ask your supplier directly and request documentation. Approved converters are usually listed on the vehicle manufacturer’s official body builder programme. CPL, for example, is an IVECO and Toyota-approved converter with full Type Approval.
