The issue we will likely see in the near future is legislation changes. Older diesel engines do not have an AdBlue system. This means that the vehicle has no way of reducing the amount of pollution created by a diesel engine. Consequently there could be large rises in the road tax paid by Diesel engine owners and at some point, they will be banned. Another issue that some of the older unit owners have is maintenance costs. Although an initial saving is made from the purchase, the maintenance costs on a 4 or 5 year old MEWP can be very expensive if it has underlying issues. The customer should not see a difference between buying direct from the manufacturer or buying through CPL.
