Preventative Maintenance recommendation from CPL will help you to keep your access platform fleet in great shape for much longer.

Our current advice is centered around the basket on your MEWP. This must be kept in good condition to provide the most amount of safety for those it is lifting.

RE: All Plastic Baskets on all CPL Platforms

CPL Part Reference: F19048

To reduce the possibility of fatigue or damage to Plastic Baskets, CPL must insist that the baskets are cleaned on a regular basis, all debris removed & drainage holes cleared. This will ensure daily checks can be carried out accurately. It is the Operators responsibility to ensure these checks are carried out.

The Maintenance Schedule can be found in Section 5 of the Operators Manual, which must be present in each Vehicle.

As per 5.3 Routine Checks;

5) Basket: Check that the basket is free of damage or cracking on the sides or in the bottom. If there is a problem, have the bucket repaired by a qualified repairer before use.
