The K42p Van mount Cherry picker boasts a working height of 14.6m and a working outreach of up to 8.1m making it the perfect conversion for installing and maintaining overhead lines. The articulated boom widens the field for the operator making it as easy as possible to get the job done.
Our large Telecom’s customer was looking for a refreshing new approach to access. They needed 1Kv protection to add peace of mind and the option to add whatever they needed to create as close to an off the shelf product as possible. We produced the perfect conversion for their working needs. We advised that the customer purchase a 5t van allowing for a greater payload. This allows the vehicle to be used as a mobile workshop. Something that is crucial when maintaining overhead lines under pressure and time constraints. The basket safe working load is 200kg. This allows the operator to take tools with them at height. Another crucial aspect to making sure the conversion is exactly what our Telecoms customer needs.
The 5t Iveco is still a compact conversion allowing for maneuverability within urban areas. It can be fitted with a key out system allowing the vehicle to be locked while operating the basket and no worry of the vehicle being tampered with while the work is being carried out.
All of the Van mounted Cherry Pickers can be fitted with internal storage and racking and also has full anti slip internal paneling. This is a much safer solution when travelling in the vehicle if there was to be an accident or need for emergency breaking and also allows for a tidy work space.
This conversion, along with all the van mounted cherry pickers, has the option of ‘Green Pack Technology’. This allows the booms to be operated with the vehicle engine switched off.
