What are the main advantages of a Cutaway Van Mount?
Many of you are now ordering the Cutaway van mount over a standard van conversion. For those of you that don’t know why, here are the main advantages.
Initially designed for working within tight streets, the cutaway was developed to help maneuverability when working in the city. It was a way to ensure that the basket could sit neatly within the envelope of the vehicle. This made it easier to drive but also made parking a lot more straight forward. It takes a lot of practice to get used to the size of your van with a basket added to the length.
Since then, the cutaway has been developed and is now a firm favourite for Hire & Rental, Electrical, CCTV & Security and a first for Telecoms. This is hugely due to the extra payload added when removing a portion of the van, the design allows for no outriggers as an option, also adding to the payload and CPL have gained full European Type approval on all Renault Master conversions including the cutaway. This has cemented the reputation that CPL are the safest and highest quality van mount providers on the UK market.
Over time we have developed the strongest and sleekest fibreglass rear panel to ensure the cutaway van mount has no cons over a full van conversion. We have also created a Chapter 8 chevron template to ensure the cut van is as safe as all the others. There are a number of storage solutions for the area left in the van. We work closely with the racking suppliers to ensure the area is being used to its full potential and it is not a hit on the overall payload of the equipment.
As the only UK provider of the Cutaway van that build each one in our Kettering factories, we can keep a close eye on the quality and any alterations that need to be made to make this design perfect for the end user. This is how we have been able to develop accessories like the ladder locker. If our production was oversea’s, we would not be able to get these small details exactly as they should be.
