As we grow and our name becomes more familiar within the Vehicle Mounted world, we want you to get to know a little more about us, our core values and the manufacturers we are exclusive dealers for in the UK.
CPL is located in Kettering, Northamptonshire. With great connections to all main motorways, our location has helped us to deliver the best customer service possible within the vehicle mounted sector.
Initially CPL was known for the Land Rover Defender pick up platform. When this design was released, it was something very different on the market. We were told it wouldn’t work and no one would want this type of conversion. With hard work and determination this perception changed and the utilities sector found that the 4 wheel drive and compact size of the Defender was extremely beneficial. This product has now evolved into a staple for all cherry picker fleets throughout Europe due to its versatility. As the company has evolved, we have become market leaders for the van mounted platforms. We have pushed the envelope and created a legless version and a cutaway design. Initially this was controversial but has made working at height quicker, easier and more cost effective.
We are part of the Klubb Group, a leading platform manufacturer in Europe. This partnership has accelerated the growth of CPL with a wider support network.
CPL are now the official UK dealer and service provider for all Klubb, Palfinger platforms and Almacrawlers. These partnerships allow us to have access to a full range of access equipment for all types of work at height. We supply to several sectors including Telecoms, Utilities, Arborist and maintenance to name just a few. Having such a broad range of equipment, and converter approvals from all the big vehicle builders, allows us to provide a solution to everyone no matter their challenges.

We are known as dealers for the above big names but we also manufacture over 60% of our conversions in house. CPL has a full design engineering office, a fabrication department with welding, shot blast and powder coating facilities and a research and development team constantly working on improvements and new designs. These aspects are very important to us. They allow us to keep a close eye on the quality of the final product from the very beginning of the process.
As our output has risen, we have grown our Aftersales and maintenance department to cover the vast number of units in the field. In 2021 we purchased a new facility which will specifically cater for repairs and maintenance of all type of access equipment. This new unit will allow us to train engineers up to our standard and provide a quick turn around on repairs.
