Assess Your MEWP’s Value

Before you trade in your machine, it’s important to provide all the necessary information to ensure your valuation is correct. You can easily find this out, using the online form on our Trade-In Page, you can log the MEWP make, model, registration, mileage, and condition. Having this information gives you a solid starting point.

Gather Necessary Documents

To streamline the trade-in process, make sure you have the following documents ready:

• Vehicle title: This proves you own the car.
• Current registration: This shows that your vehicle is legally registered.
• Loan payoff information: If you still owe money on your machine, disclose the loan details.
• Maintenance records: Providing proof of regular maintenance can help demonstrate that the MEWP has been well cared for.

Understand the Financial Impact

The trade-in value of your car will be applied as a credit towards your new vehicle. This can reduce the overall cost, and if you’re financing, it might lower your monthly payments. Be aware, that if you owe more on your current MEWP than it’s worth (negative equity), the remaining balance might be rolled into your new loan, which could increase your monthly payments.

Finalise the Trade-In

Once you have agreed to an estimated trade-in value and are prepared to purchase your new CPL MEWP, we will schedule a thorough inspection of the machine. This inspection can take place at your location or our facilities in Northamptonshire. After the inspection, we will provide an official quote. At that point, you will transfer the title of your old MEWP and complete the required documents for your new purchase.

Drive Away in Your New MEWP

With everything finalised, you’ll hand over the keys to your old unit and drive away in your new one. It’s as simple as that!
